Booked a 5 year fixed with FD about 2 weeks ago at 3.39% with a £499 Fee. Just looked today and the same mortgage is down to 3.09%. Is too late and I'll just have to take the hit? I always seem to do things just at the wrong time! Rant over..!

How much are you borrowing and what's the loan to value?
There appear to be offers under 3%, which if you are borrowing enough, would make a higher fee worthwhile over the time and the money you'll save on the rate...I am a mortgage broker. Can't see them doing that:o
I'm sure they will do it if another fee is paid for the new deal though:cool:I am a Mortgage adviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Mortgage Adviser, so you need to take my word for it. Mortgage is 60k so doesn't make sense to pay a massive fee. Also although not very MSE I decided to stay with FD as I think their customer service is second to none.0

Any idea if there's going to be any change to any of the 75% 5 year fixes, Kingstreet?0
