I am looking at bringing in some furniture from China, I have visited the company and their premises in China ( my wife is from China and has a big family out there who have helped locate a trustworthy source ).
My question is, the company's quote includes FOB - Free on Board.
What other costs can I expect. I believe FOB means payment includes delivery to the UK?
I expect to pay VAT @ 20%, what else can I expect to pay. For arguements sake, say I am bringing in 25 reproduction wardrobes made of solid wood.I am only trying to help :rolleyes:0 -
Import duty? a lot of those questions may be better answered over on these forums?

I thought it was always quoted as FOB followed by a location. For example I used to import software from the US, that was quoted as FOB San Francisco, meaning that it included the cost of shipping it as far as the shippers office in SF, and I was liable for the rest.0
