Finally after 6 yrs

Hi all, on 06/03/13 my 6 yrs of been bankrupt are over, my question is will it automatically just fall off my file on that day or a few weeks later?
Or do I have to ring around all the agencys to ask them to remove it?

Thank you

Somebody asked the same question a while back and the answer seemed to be as fermi says automatic but with experian nearly straight away but equifax it can take a few weeks and call credit again very quickly.

    Regards

  • Hiya, sorry to highjack but what happens with the debts that were included on the bankruptcy (such as the ones saying settled or partially settled?) do they drop off your credit file after the 6 years too?

I expect that's been answered somewhere already so sorry if it has. xx

In reply to the last post, I was under the impression that any default will fall off the file 6 years after the initial default. I am having problems getting an account marked as settled/satisfied at the moment - the issue I wonder is if they don't mark it, will the account still fall of my record after the 6 years? Any thoughts?

    yes.

although sometimes it has been known for debts to be 'sold-on'...and the new DCA to register a 'new' default on the old debt....which causes issues.

I haven't bothered getting defaults marked up as satisfied...since...most of the defaults were defaulted well before the BR....and they've not yet touched the dates, so they may well fall f well before the 6 years of the BR.
No, I don't think all other drivers are idiots......but some are determined to change my mind.......
