Does this count as Non Advanced full time education?

Options
Hi there. I've been searching everywhere for some confirmation on this but can't find a deffinite answer.

I'm an NRP with a private agreement with RP for many years. My child is currently 17, 18 in March and at college in their second year of a full time 2 year course which ends in September with the plan of going to Uni afterwards. The Uni has already conditionally accepted them depending on final results.

The only 2 questions I guess I really have are, do my payments to the RP end in september when my child goes to Uni?

And does a BTEC L3 Extended Diploma count as advanced or non advanced education? (I'm led to understand it's equal to 3 A Levels)

The curriculum levels are confusing and there is no direct mention of "extended diploma".

Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

  • Child maintenance normally runs in line will child benefit, so as long as your ex is getting child benefit for your child then she is entitled to claim child maintenance,

Might be worth calling CM Options, or even the child benefit office to get it confirmed, but my initial guess would be that if it is the equivalent of A-levels then payment would continue, as the payments would continue if the child was doing a-levels.

Any level 3 qualification counts as non advanced FE.
