Thought he had a pension- turns out he hasn't.

Friend of mine works for a teaching agency and has done for a number of years. He thought they had sorted his teacher pension out but it turns out he has had one for the past 15 yrs. What does he do know??? my mum works for the same agency and hers is sorted. Who is at fault?

Think it his fault for not realizing, surely he should have picked it up when the pension provider wasn't sending your friend any letters for the past 15 years. Think he stuck now.

Who is at fault?

He gets a payslip and a pension deduction would have been on there each month if he was in it. The pension provider would have sent an annual statement of benefits too. Waiting 15 years to see why he isnt getting these is a long time.

Unless he filled in the forms at the time and they failed to get processed, there is nothing to do.
