Need a bit of extra cash

I'm a single mum with a debts and bills to pay and although I have a part time job, I would like to make a bit of extra money in my spare time without taking on a second job.

Does anyone have any ideas. I was thinking of applying to be a bodyshop at home consultant however the amount of admin work involved is putting me off a bit as I am not very organised.

I have a Psychology degree and teaching qualification so was thinking maybe tutoring.

In addition to this..once I have raised/saved enough money, I want to do a fashion and photographic make up course with a view to doing wedding/prom make up and pamper parties.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Hi, I'm interested in this. Which website is this with?

    Thanks.

OP, some of the things your suggesting are second jobs. This is the best way to guarantee income. And tutoring is a good idea, I want to look into this as well.

If you are avoiding a second job (and are ok with vouchers) you could try surveys. If you want money try mystery shopping.

How about sourcing products from legitimate wholesale suppliers and reselling them online? Some suppliers will allow you to do drop shipping without keeping inventory, and you will just resell the items, keep the mark up price and start without huge capital requirement. I wish you the best.

Of the options you have listed tutoring definitely sounds like the best option, though it's not a great time of year to get started as some of the exams begin in a few weeks. Perhaps you can take the summer to refamiliarise yourself with the current exam syllabus (unless you are teaching now?) and start advertising in September? If you can offer one of the core subjects (English, Maths, Sciences) at exam level you will probably find yoursef in demand. Good luck!
