Had one from amazon which had gone back and replaced by WD MyBook World edition for £140. Both are incomaptible with vista which is a pain but WD offered an easier solution through a Java applet on their website. Also I am so impressed by the WD capability to be accessed from any computer with internet access even when my home PCs are switched off. I am sure this could be done with the buffalo but would probably need third party software or subscription to remote access tools. I like buffalo very much as I have two of their Drivestations but was disappointed with the Linkstation as it felt like an incomplete product.
Do I want it? ......Do I need it? ......What would happen if I don't buy it??????

The linkstation live provides web access with no additional software or subscriptions.

Only available from June according to their website and will require a firmware update and tweaking the settings. WD already doing it and very easily I have to say.

The firmware update is out already - works fine.
I think June refers to when they will be shipping new units with the firmware pre-installed.
