Keepsake present for newborn nephew

Wondering if anyone could help please. I'm stuck for ideas on what to buy my nephew when he is born. I want it to be something he can keep. My idea was a personalised bear, but the ones available online will not be ready in time for when i first meet my him and the Build a Bear shop only seems to offer personalised sound messages - ideally i wanted a jumper on the bear with my nephew's name and DOB.

Any other ideas please, or has anyone seem a nice keepsake/toy with 'nephew' on it?

Thanks for any help.

Thanks, i love the idea of an engraved stool. I've just had a Google around and found some nice ones at toyprofessor, but they take up to 21 days to arrived. Where is Meadowhall? My sister is not revealing the baby's name until he is born, so i will have a mad dash to personalise something before i see him! I might keep the stool in mind as a Christening present.

Thank you, the box is a nice idea too but i think this one is a bit expensive for what it's worth. Will shop around though.

    Some variations on engraved stool:
    1. Mug and/or a plate with his name and maybe some picture
    2. Session in studio where they make mug/plate/tile (whatever on offer) with palm/foot print - you know, those paint your own ceramic studios, them they glaze and bake it and you could use it for food.
    3. Personalized photo book like those they make for babies - 1 page- 1 image with small description (this is is mummy, this is daddy, grand parents, my house... big smiley face - i'm smiling).

I have had mine for ten years (wedding box) and it looks as new. The quality is excellent. :)
