Have searched high and low for this thread today but no luck...
In the words of our famous hypno:
Today I:
* used the bus to get in and out of town
* spent £5 on a birthday present for a friend instead of the usual £20
* didn't pop into Costa-lot Coffee
* tried to hang my washing out on the line but all rotary driers are full and the last one is broken which I did try to fix but wasn't able to
* reported broken drier to local council online so they will come and fix (hopefully!!!)
* spent time fixing itunes and ipod, instead of binning it and buying a new one as I would have done previously
* used some of my free texts
* popped a £2 coin into my tin
* emptied my purse of small coins and stuck them in my other savings pot
* started this thread

In the words of our famous hypno:
When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free.
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging the washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important:

Ever wonder about those people who spend £2 apiece on those little bottles of Evian water? Try spelling Evian backward.

Hi there everyone, Hypno didn't start this thread this morning as she was up early to take the kids skiing.
Today I have/will
- Done piggs comps and clicks
- Received my GreasyPalm cheque of £25
- Bought some new heated curlers with my Boots Advantage Points
- Prepared meal plan for next week
- Done the weekly shopping and stuck to my list
- Checked online banking to make sure all is well there
- Had another 2 £2 coins and put them in my tin (have totally lost count of them now).
Thinks that about it for today.0 -
