If you're interested in using cloth nappies, I found that the cloth nappy shop have a brilliant deal on Little Lamb nappies at the moment.
LITTLE LAMB MIXED FABRIC 20 SET £118 (the bamboo, microfibre & cotton set are the same price)
whereas the little lamb website are selling them for 180
LITTLE LAMB MIXED FABRIC 40 SET £200
whereas the little lamb website sell them for £300
It seems to even be slightly cheaper than some of the preloved ones being sold on ebay
Also when I ordered mine I could state what sizes I wanted each type of nappy & wrap to be. They were really helpful especially as I changed my mind twice after giving my order.
I know during cloth nappy week there are some deals to be had, but I think thats in April & if youre like me & cant wait that long, I think this is quite good

If you can wait a little while, it is very worthwhile liking the Little Lamb Facebook page as they often have great offers on there which they don't share with the rest of the world until some time later. For example, they will often sell off old label stock (exactly the same nappy just with an old label) for £3-4 each (you usually have to buy 8 or 10) but still a fab deal.
I wouldn't want Little Lambs to be the main part of my fluffy stash, especially for an older baby, but the size ones are pretty great on a newborn and at that price you can afford some to get you through the early days of lots of nappy changes. You can usually sell them on preloved groups for more or less what you paid, after you've finished with them too. Beats paying full price or forking out for disposables!0 -
I did that & although they had a few items on offer like wraps, it still ended up being cheaper on cloth nappy shop.
Looking forward to seeing whats going to be on offer during cloth nappy week0 -
Glad to see there are other cloth nappy fans around! I've got a stash of lots of different things but I've heard good things about little lambs0

Make sure you check with your local council for cashback schemes. We're expecting our first baby in March and can claim back £50 when we buy cloth nappies! Makes it a no brainer for me, especially as the resale value of preloved cloth nappies is really good too.0

Yes definitely check with your local council - my old council did a heavily discounted trial kit (but it was mostly older style nappies) and where I live now they do £35 cash back when you've spent over £100. Many areas also have nappy libraries/trial schemes where you can borrow a set of various nappies to see what you like before you buy anything.
The best tip for making sure you save a lot of money is not to buy more than a couple of anything until you've tried it out. Not all nappies suit all babies so if you buy a massive back it can be pretty risky. And don't believe it if manufacturers tell you their nappy will work from birth to potty. A newborn weighing 8lbs is a different shape to a 4 week old who weighs 8lbs - newborns can have skinny legs which means most one size nappies won't fit right away, so don't be put off if you have to wait a little while for OS nappies to fit0 -
Don't forget there's lots of nappy library's around so you can try before you buy xnow proud mum to 3 handsome boys :j latest one born 10/10/11:j0

I love my reusable nappies, best baby thing I bought by far along with my reusable wipes. If you are going to do the reusable nappy thing then I would say do the reusable wipes too as they are just brilliant.
I have these: http://www.cheekywipes.com/
You can check your concil subsidy scheme here:http://www.thenappylady.co.uk/articleGallery.asp?categoryID=1
I only use the nappy lady and she often has some really good deals on various nappies and if you fill in her questionnaire she will suggest the best nappy for you.0
