Stingy bra shopper

  • Hiya,
Surely I cannot be the only one that near faints when seeing some of the prices here in UK?
At the moment I am on a hunt for some new bras. I am not a skinny girl, and even when I am thinner the girls are still there.
I don't know if I am mental but I cannot bring myself to spend this funny money on a single bra!!! Not only that I haven't even found a bra that I think is a good one.
    I NEED an underwired one.
I DONT want it to be padded, I've enough boob as it is.
And I want it to be quality, and a fabric that doesn't feel like burlap.
    So far no luck.
My favourite bras from back in USA are by Curvation, does anyone know if I can get them here? Other than the one used one being sold on Ebay...
I found a US website that will ship them to UK, it would cost about 35£ total for 2 bras.
I think I will go with it, but want to see if there is anything better here?
I'm new, maybe I haven't found a good shop yet?

I agree about prices! What I often do is go to Bravissimo and get them to assess the size (I'd say measure, but they don't use a tape measure...) and try a few on. Then I might buy one if there's a sale on, or go to somewhere like brastop.com who sell them for quite a bit less.

I find debenhams Gorgeous range to be the cheapest without lacking in quality.

bravissimo are too expensive for me even in the sale. I find myself only buying one full price if i really LOVE the bra.

my breasts are a bit funny though, I can only wear cleo by panache, gorgeous and the odd thing from Boux. freya, panache and all those other big DD+ brands just dont work with my shape. :(

I would love to just buy any in my size!

Watch out for Sales in George too. I got 2 bras for £1.50 each in their sale. Ok they were navy blue, but fine under dark clothes. George at Asda are reasonable priced too, as well as primark. And I'm the same size as you, so know they are available there :)

We don't need over the shoulder boulder holders any more. There nice bras now available for us busty ladies :)

  • I love tesco bras - well made, nice moulded cups, true to size (36E), was very well and are around £6 each.

I was an M&S girl before I tried tesco when I desperately needed a black bra.

I'm a DD and got these from M&S in the summer.

Underwired and non-padded, the style gives me a wonderful shape. Straps are not a mile wide either! How many times have other ladies spotted a nice bra, only to then find everything is twice as big in your size!

They are super comfy and have washed and washed with little wear/fading.
  • I second the gorgeous range in debenhams. Ususally about £16-25 for a bra and you can usually get the thong/brief for free.

Asda is good but I feel they aren't as good quality but do for occasional use.

Bravissimo is by far my favourite bra shop but its :eek:expensive for some things! Their fitting is brilliant however.

Lasenza seem really cheap at the moment - I went in the other day and bras were £2.50 each! I'd try them on though as I think the sizes differ sometimes.

And figleaves tend to have some good sales!
