My friend has retired at the age of 61, so no further payments being made into either state pension.
In 2005 his forecast for state pension at 65 was £170 ish pound a week, his latest forecast is £ 210 ish.
How much would you expect this to alter before pension age at 65?
He will reach state pension age in 2006, prior to the introduction of the new rules.

Back of fag packet calculation would be 2.5% pa compounded so around £230 after April 2016. There is no real point looking at what he will be getting then as it is all relative to today, I have a spreadsheet forecast of my income when I reach SPA in 2019 but it is all at today's values so I know how it reflects on what I can buy now.0
