hi i'm hoping someone can help.

a couple of years ago, i bought a pda from dixons, trying to be clever i thought i'd buy it on 9 mths interest free credit. yep, you guessed it, i went on holiday came back and realised about a month too late that i forgot to pay it off.

the loan is now at approx 27%apr.

problem is that every month when i get my statement, i get !!!!!! off just seeing the DD for £10 going out.

i lost the paperwork with the telephone number on it for settlements. cetelem uk, was taken over from hbos, by french company. however going on to website , it passes on to no existent link, so now in position cant even bloody pay the thing off.

i was also wondering if i pay it off now half way through loan term, will i have to pay the full 4 yrs interest. dont mind even that just to not see it on my statements. can anybody help with contact details.

ps i know i should have been more careful, i have been since. only buy with cash if they offer me more than 5% discount, otherwise interest free it is. always paid off about 3 weeks before due date

many thanx

I used to have an account with them (probably for the same sort of thing) and so their details were on my Experian report:

    Cetelem (UK) Limited
    Leo House
    Railway Approach
    Wallington
    SM6 0XX

Sorry - it doesn't give me phone numbers, but if no-one else can get you a number, it would be worth writing to them and asking for a settlement?

I used to sell people things with these accounts - always hated it, always warned them to pay it off, I just hoped that they listened.
  • Yippee,

My last payment with Cetelem is due on the 25th of this month. I did phone for a settlement figure some months ago but the figure they offered would only have saved me about £3 so I decided to leave it run and concentrated on driving down my other debts.

The contact number I have is an 0870 number I'm afraid but here it is anyway in case you need it (0870 242 0424).

    Regards

I would think that even at £10 a month donsaini would have had this sorted after 5 years.
