unpaid overtime amongst over problems

I am in a tricky situation. My girlfriend and I are working in a hotel together. We met there etc (insert romantic story here) I have been tthere just over a year working nights and my partner 3 years in the restaurant. Everything has been absolutely fine up until Christmas 2011. My partners contract states 5 days working out of 7 42 hours per week. With over time paid or lieu days. Over the Christmas period she was working 16+ hours per day for 9 days in a row with one day off. With promises of yes your overtime will be paid don't worry. It wasn't. They said in january it will be paid in March. Etc etc, fast forward a year later and her owed moneys is huge. She is regularly working 12-15 hours per day and I can't remember the last time she had 2 days off.
Whilst we were on holiday last year the staff staged a protest. They refused to work until overtime was paid. Well, upon returning from said holiday 5 of 9 staff who protested were sacked. (There are 20 employess in total) this hotel has been in the news a few times over the past year for several reasons. Usually staff sueing. Since I have worked here there have been 3 staff sue and win. The reputation is going downhill badly. Considering this is supposedly "one of the most luxurious hotels in England, if not the world" it is horrific.
The overtime my girlfriend isn't too worried about because when she leaves they will pay. Its the fact that recently we moved out of staff accommodation and into our own place. Something we were only planning on doing if we could have our hours changed to suit. She requested working 7:30am until 5pm sunday to Thursday with fridsy and Saturday 7am until finish in the evening. Providing I could be off friday and Saturday to pick her up (they usually finish at 1/1:30am) this was agreedby my manager, personnel and her manager. Come this week and her rota is 6am-11am, 6pm-11pm. I start work at 11pm and finish at 7am. There is literally no way she can get to and from work. There is a staff bus, thst doesn't come until 6:30am. The trains don't run at that time (the hotel is in the middle of 300+ acres in the middle of no where. Te nearest village is £12 one way staff rates by taxi and the other staff who live local don't start at the same time. My frustration is that they all knew we were planning on moving out, we had meeting after meeting about it. Were very sure we explained we weren't going to move if it could not be accommodated and everything we were told was fine. I'm just so fed up of this situation now. I really do not know what to do.

Contact your trades union. Thats what they are there for.Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..0

So what was the response from management when your girlfriend complained that the hours she's been rostered for are not what was agreed before your move?0
