Cheapest compostible food bin liners?

We have a weekly food recycling collection in our area but have to buy the special composible liners to use in the caddy.
I've been getting them in Sainsburys but at £2.40 for 12 I'm sure I can get cheaper online.
Quick Google brough up hundreds of suppliers, so has anybody already researched and found the cheapest supplier? I need ones to fit a 5 litre caddy.
Thanks for any pointers
ps - I know I could use newspaper but a) we don't buy newspapers and b) I can envisage having a soggy stinky mess to clean out every week if I did

Try your local council.
The council here is just about to start waste food collection and the new bins came with a leaflet telling us how to use them and advised that they will sell bags at £1.50 for 50.At times any combination of my spelling, grammar or punctuation may be incorrect. Please do not pick me up for this as, after all, it is only an internet forum.0 -
Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere (please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. That's why I compost it at home. I fill up a bowl with everything as I'm cooking and things, then empty in the compost and wash it up at the end of the day. Nothing hangs around making a mess.0

Our Council provided 2 rolls and then told us to buy our own.0 -
Didn't realise that our council was unusual. We get free bags and just phone up when we need them.Lost my soulmate so life is empty.
I can bear pain myself, he said softly, but I couldna bear yours. That would take more strength than I have -

Carrier bag - dump the contents in the food waste bin and throw the carrier bag into the landfill bin.0
