Help with an appeal.

I recently lost my job but put together a strong appeal to fight the gross misconduct charge. I had to put my letter in within 5 days but have heard nothing from them for 2 weeks, how long should I leave it before contacting them? Also, can they introduce any new evidence at an appeal hearing? Their disciplinary process was poor with no investigation done leading up to my dismissal.

What evidence do you have that your appeal document was received?

I would get legal advice, if you haven't already. If your employer hasn't followed the disciplinary process properly, you may have a good case.

Procudures normally have defined timescales, does your ex-employers policy state any?
