I have a couple of questions about the £4 book tokens, hope someone can help! I used one of these sucessfully in the self scan till today for the first time (never used one before at my Tescos as they are so strict about coupons).

1) Do any of you use more than 1 of these tokens per transaction?

2) Do you give your clubcard when using the book token? I'm wondering if Tesco could identify you for repeatedly using them?

the nice young sa scanned me 4 of these today i have used lots in the past and always use my clubcard never heard anything from tesco about using my vouchers.

I have never dared use more than one voucher at a time and pick my SA with care being really nice and chatty as stuff goes through. Self scans have recently appeared in one local store and am thinking of using it. Is there a special slot where you put the coupons and can you input the voucher number manually if it doesnt read? Thanks!

theres a marked slot to put in your vouchers but I'm afraid you can't put in a code manually for those coupons that don't scan.
Once you've tried self scan a couple of times you'll see just how easy it is to use

Let's just remember one fact here.Tesco are not losing out in any way,shape or form by accepting coupons.It is the manufacturer of the product that loses out because we are using coupons but not buying their product.
Tesco have not become the superpowers they now are by being stupid and believe me if they didn't want to accept those book coupons they would have adapted their till system so that they would not be accepted.
Although we are all saving a small fortune by using coupons when doing our shopping
ie/£25 worth of shopping for £2.50
at the end of the day that is £25 spent in tesco rather than the other supermarkets because although we have actually only spent £2.50 they claim the rest back.
So stop beating yourselves up about poor tesco and use those coupons!!
This of course is just my opinion.

tesco actually makes money when we use manufacturers' coupons, they claim back money from manufacturers without selling the product, so free cash for tesco.
