Berlin is integral to European history for at least the last 100 years, and a wonderful place to go.

I really should go there one day. :D

    Yep, Oktoberfest starts in September.

Is this like the October Revolution which took place in November?

  • At the end of the day, the budget airline industry is more on the ball than most when it comes to supply and demand, and the reason Air Berlin are able to offer consistently good prices on flights to Germany is that it's unappealing to the British as a holiday destination - pure and simple. I've been a few times to different parts and ok, it's very different to the UK, but no sunnier and no cheaper - I find the cities particularly unattractive, for reasons that I won't go into (but should be pretty obvious).

So thanks - it's a good spot - Air Berlin's fares to Spain from Stansted are particularly good value, but with all the anti-German comments this thread has attracted (and the 'hilarious' jokes) I'd have thought it would have been prudent to lock it - hello, any mods out there?
