Got my Cibox one today. Not a bad frame. Just need to adjust my jpeg files a bit now so they fill the frame fully, there is a slight gap on the left hand side. Any tips on what I need to do?, resolution change?

Also can these frames be left on all the time or should I turn them off?

You will probably need to 'crop' your images using an aspect ratio of 16:10. 16 units across 10 units down, maybe 16:9.

This guy has wrote a nice little utility or use your image editor.
    http://www.darkwood.demon.co.uk/PC/crop.htm

Set the 'Aspect ratio' box to custom and the custom box to 16 x 10. Set output image to jpeg.

This will change the selection area and you then click save and it saves the area inside the selection. You could also try resizing the output to save on card space and load times. This is what I was going to try when mine gets here.

Depends whether you care about the environment and your electricity bill or not.

I wonder how a not very well known e-store with this one's history managed to get selected for the Google Checkout promotion. Wish I could get ours selected!

    Have you signed up?

If it's limited perhaps it's those that have promoted using google adwords?

It seems, to get the £10 off £30 you have to email
    checkout-promotions-uk (at) google (dot) com
so they can have a look at your site and see if it's suitable

    got mine, gadgex one.

Doesn't have CF slot, which the specs said it had, but does have usb which wasn't mentioned, pleased. Has a little remote too.

present for someone but will try it make sure it works later.

That was my thinking too. I suppose I'll put it on during the day only. Obviously this is not a thing you normally need to think about with photo frames :o

Pretty impressed with the gadgex one. Images seem to work best as 1024 * 768.

Interface is a shocker to use, but once you read the manual the mysteries are revealed.

The image quality is actually very very good, much better than I hoped for. Bright and clear, good colour and doesn't look low res. From 2 foot looks perfect, slight flicker on certain images.
