Spend Spend Spend

My boyf and I have just booked a holiday to Dominican Republic (paid for by his bonus) we go on 13th June. I can t wait i have never been out of Europe so am very excited.

As he paid for the holiday I am doing the spending money, we don't need much as its all inclusive but I want us to be able to go on a couple of trips as we haven't been on holiday for a long long time and this is my birthday treat.

I need to make/earn £500 before 13th June so this thread will be my progress report.

All day yesterday I worked at the elections - for 15.5 hours, very tired now but have earnt after tax £90 and also counted votes today and mae another £30

So Target £500 so far £120.

Have more things on ebay now so will hopefully have some more to add soon.

    Erm thats a toughy.
All the sites I have signed up with, do give you money/vouchers in the end, but none of them are very quick. Pisback were the quickest. But they only do vouchers. For actual money then no none of them really. On the other hand if you did sign up to a lot of them before you go, and could then show the money waiting on your accounts to get to the pay out level, perhaps you OH could match you pound for pound on the understanding that one you have got enough to ask the company for a cheque, that you pay that money to him?

I think the OP has already explained: Boyfriend is paying for the holiday from bonus, additional spending money is being generated by additional work etc.

Being DFW doesn't mean being LIFE FREE WANNABE!

Go for it!!, enjoy your holiday and ignore the judgements people make on here and return rejuvenated to carry on the battle against the debt.

    Best wishes and Good Luck

I don't think that any of the survey sites will help short term but long term they are pretty good, I save mine for Christmas presents for my children otherwise it would be nuts and chocolate for them lol!

Maybe you should check out local bar work or something like that for while they expect you to only stick around for a short time. Our local council has workers on casual contract for when they have functions at town hall and also agenices do bar work and things
