Well no-one's gonna wanna hear this.....but having kids takes it out of you. On a positive note; if you naturally have oily skin that's a blessing. Avoid too much alcohol and coffee as these are duretics which dehydrate the skin. Orange/red/purple fruit and veggies are packed with vitamins A & C. Vitamin E (the other anti-oxident is found in olive oil (oily skin remember) but if you can't get enough of these take a vitamin supplement of these 3 anti-oxidents and you can get them all-in-one these days. I wouldn't say get into an exercise regime 'cause that can put you right off, but walking faster than usual, taking stairs etc gets the circulation going and more oxygen to the skin to free those radicals again and it help speeds up the metabolism.

  • Easy.

Stop smoking if you do already (that will save a fortune)

    and

Use a high factor suncream/block daily, SPF 20+ should do it.

Ageing is essentially sun damage and regular use of a sun block will keep you looking young.

Don't bother with anything else, its all a big rip off.

    Don't smoke
Use a high SPF every day of the year
Buy a cheap moisturiser like Olay, use it for a month, and see what difference it makes
.................:)....I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)

My Nan always said its not what you put on your skin, it's what you out INTO your body.

I'm naughty, I drink, smoke and am a self confessed chocoholic.

I am 28, yet I need ID to buy alcohol , when I give them my date of birth they laugh and don't believe me.

People think my OH is my BIG brother and sometimes Dad :)

I really believe that there is nothing you can do to stop the ageing process, you will look miles better anyway if you are confident and happy in yourself.

So just concentrate on what goes IN and not ON!

My gran is nearly 90 and has amazing skin. I asked her the secret and she told me that she stayed out the sun all her life (shes very pale skinned so has worn a hat, stood in shade so not to burn), never worn much make up, never smoked or drunk, used soap and no moisturiser!! and her big one.... every day she has a glass of hot water with a slice of lemon when she gets up and before bed!

I hear that redbush tea has excellent health benefits and good for your skin too. Its an acquired taste and i love it now- won't drink anything else!

I'm 35 with 2 teenage daughters, and people think we are all sisters ;-)
    So somethings working!
.....oh and i don't smoke either.

Always use sunscreen, even in the piddling rain in winter: face, neck, decolletage and hands. Big Jackie O sunglasses to protect the eyes and eye area.
Consider starting facial exercises. Sounds wacky, but you exercise your body, so why not your face? All the creams in the world won't undo saginess and furrows, so keep those facial muscles in trim! There are several facial exercise routines out there, but one of the better known ones is by Eva Fraser.

Staying out of the sun and not smoking are the only medically proven ways of avoiding wrinkles. Face cream manufacturers make some great claims, but most of the research is done with a very small number of subjects. I am only in my mid 30's but have already had to have several pre -cancerous skin patches removed from my face. The damage was probably done in my late teens - trying too hard to get a tan.

ALL of the above - but would also like to add, no great weight changes as skin becomes less flexible as you get older. Also, the big ageing thing that I see (am 60) is work! Avoid work as much as possible! All the retired ex-employees that come back to our place for lunch look 10 years younger than when they left.

And with all good clichés there's some truth in them, so - a little of what you fancy does you good!

Try to live one day at a time. Enjoy the present moment as much as possible. Worrying about what has happened or what might happen can cause worry lines! Costs nothing.:D (but sometimes very hard to practise) :)
