Won tickets to Capital One Cup Final - they say I probably can't have prize?

And got a call from the Sun today.

They asked who I support so I told them Huddersfield Town.

Then they said I'd been drawn as a winner but probably wouldn't get the prize as I'm not a Bradford or Swansea fan.

My flatmate is a Bradford fan so that's why I entered, I can't see any terms & conditions, does this seem right / normal?

Will be my first win if they let me have the prize.

Football tickets can be a problem - many comps specify something like "home" fans only.

I suggest getting back in touch with them and telling them that although you support The Terribles your partner/best mates are all Bantams and you always intended to take one of them if you won. Say you checked the terms and conditions carefully and there was nothing to say you couldn't enter, and ask them to specify under which of the published terms they are refusing to award you the prize. Mention that you will take this up with the IPM (Institute of Promotional Marketing http://www.theipm.org.uk/Home.aspx ) if you are denied your prize.

Can't understand why they'd refuse tickets as you're not supporting the oppostion...

They've sent my details to Capital One & it'll be up to them to decide.

I'll just see what they say and leave it there - as a football fan I can see why they'd want the prize to go to a "home" fan (though they should have made it more clear imo). Will be a shame for my flatmate though!

Also, the Sun woman was a bit arsey with me, I don't think I'll be winning any future competitions with them - if my name comes out she'll just shred it!

Never mind, I've only been doing competitions on here for 5 days, and at least this shows winning is possible, even if I don't get the prize!
