It is annoying but glad I had the power to say no beforel I got myself in even more debt - you cant lend money if you haven't got it. That has been a very tough lesson to learn especially now when we want children and our own house and we cant quite get it yet!
But - now seeing the value in things more. I had no qualms about getting my hair done every month £50 a month. I havent had it cut since Oct now so thats £200 saved to end of Feb!!
Im goin to get it cut when ive paid the credit card off - needs a cut now only £2,500 to go! :-)
Im seeing it more of a game now to try and get it cleared than a long slog - makes it more interesting.
I made lunch today and not going out at lunchtime so I call that a NSD :T:T:T
Shelski it is scary when they come round but if you haven't got it you cant give it to them - hope you are getting on OK in your journey xx2014 DFW

Thank you for your kind words but I don't think I made myself clear. It's when the bailiffs go round to BIL 's house that we get calls from BIL in tears asking us to lend him the money. Feel awful turning him down but we are trying to pay off debts of our own. That is our priority now. Funny how we never hear from him at any other time.Number of debts between us - 3 (2 @ 0%)0

Oh I see Shelski - well he got into that mess let him get out of it!
Had a word with the BF last night as ever so broody but cant afford the time off of work so will have to put baby plans on hold for another year - annoying but want t be in a better financial position before I have to stop working.
Counted the tin last night £300 saved since January - well chuffed :-)2014 DFW

That's a great amount. Have you decided what to do with it?
Am doing well with our budget so far, even managed a half term tea out for the four of us last night. Really enjoyed it but made me realise where all our money had gone previously.Number of debts between us - 3 (2 @ 0%)0 -
HGBeast- wow, karma is owing you a lot of goodness right now!
how kind of you to help out like that.
Really feel for you that the original plan didn't work out (house being sold). But you stuck to your end of the deal,so focus on your life now.
your parents have to figure out what to do now (maybe introduce them to MSE.....)
wishing you lots of good luck for the future
