Council Tax Rebanding

Hi, just wondered whether when banding properties in 1991 whether they considered 'outside space'. The problem is my band is the same as my next door neighbour who has a field (I don't). My other neighbour is 2 bands lower and he doesn't have a field but has a smaller external space then me (or so he did in 1991). I phoned up and they've sent me a form but want to make sure what I'm putting isn't incriminating myself.

A field would not be reflected in a CT band, it would most likely be regarded as "agricultural" and thus exempt. If by outside space, you mean garden size, this would not usually make a difference to the band.

Remember there is a chance that it could be your neighbour without the field who is in the wrong band

hip hip hurray for this site. have just successfully been rebanded from d to c after using martins information, not only am i saving on each months direct debit but received a backpay cheque for £1,378 today. CAN'T THANKYOU ENOUGH!
