Good quality wooden garden sheds

Hi
I am hoping for some help/recommendations please.
I am looking for a good quality wooden shed, to store bicycles and the usual garden shed things!!
I have checked Gumtree trying to make sense of what is and isn't a decent quality shed. I have also phoned a few local places, and as usual they have all told me that they sell the best sheds 'money can buy'!
Can anyone explain to me the difference between felt type roof cover and the metal roof. People tell me that felt tears easily and the metal roof sweats - so which is the best to choose?
Can anyone recommend a good supplier of sheds - I know I want Tongue and groove type around 8x6 or 8x8 size.
I live in the Dungannon area.
I would be willing to pay a little bit extra if I knew I was getting a decent shed, and not one that warps within a year or two!
I have seen what I think is a good place in Ballyclare, but like everything else, I would prefer to go by past experience and recommendations of others.
Thanks all for you help with this - any recommendations/advice would be really appreciated.

For longevity go for a metal roof every time with tanalised (treated) timber
Felt roofs all leak in a few years and rain water rots the shed........useless and a waste of money
I have a couple of metal roofed (corrugated coated in green plastic) with 'no sweating' issues
One of them is erected over 10 years and its still like new0 -
I had a sectional shed which was PVC coated metal. It looked good (as good as a shed can) and was dry. The walls, roof and door were all made out of the same materials. It was screwed onto a concrete base which we had put down.
You can get them in a variety of colours and they don't need painted or treated which will cut down on your maintenance costs.
I got mine from a firm called H 2, although the shed was fine I wouldn't recommend them as a company. Very difficult to get them to return to snag a few problems, I ended up having to get someone else to repair as I simply got fed up with their unfulfilled promises to return. The flaws were small and in the scheme of things I was only a small domestic customer so they didn't bother returning as I had foolishly paid them in full...0 -

Not quite true - I've had a felt (over solid timber) roofed shed for over 10 years and there were no obvious leaks last time I was in it.
But (non rust) metal does sound strong and enduring, albeit I couldn't recommend either way.
I may have had a good experience because the felt was layered on top of solid timber, so fully supported and no possibility of damage from underside.
As I think about it, I guess mine would maybe be better described as a timber roof with felt over it.
I wouldn't touch a felt roof strung over a few support batons.0 -
Try these guys HERE
I got a big 25ft x 8ft "portable building" from them about 5 years ago and still looks like new. It has a felt roof over wood but it's bonded/tarred to he wood (not nailed) they might not be the absolute cheapest but they are a very very good quality will last a lifetime. My opinion.... spend the money and buy a good one, it'll be the first and last one you'll buy !!0 -
We got one a few years back from a place at the top of the Glen Road in Belfast, Shed factory it was called , price was very reasonable and it was excellent!! Shed factory it was called0

I bought a shed from Hillhead in Ballyclare 4 years ago and it's still going strong. We got just a 10x8 shed, and it's really sturdy. They came and installed it on the day we moved into our new house with no bother or hassle. We were really impressed by them, and the shed.0

I bought an 8x8 timber shed from a timber supplies yard and when the shed was delivered the lorry and lads were from the Shed Factory. It was well constructed and the lads assembled it. I am very happy and would deal direct with the Shed Factory if I needed another0
