How best tio use Twitter for job hunting?

Hi Folks

I have been unemployed for a while and 'following' some major employers in the region on Twitter.

Could soimeone please explain if someone from a company that I am following 'tweets', will I be sent an email alert or would I have to log into my Twitter account in order to find that out.

Thank U

    Hi geek,

You would need to log onto your account to see their tweets, the email notification only applies if you both follow each other.

What you could do is set up the employers name as a saved search. This would allow you to log onto your account, hit your saved search and then all their tweets would be displayed on the screen. This would save you having to scroll through all your tweets.

Good luck to you. I found my dream job on Twitter and I start on Monday!
  • search (and use!) #hashtags to refine what you're looking for, and follow thge local media soures (radio, newspapers, large firms agencies etc), to get updates on your 'tweetline'..

can post your own 'ad', as it were, with a link to a fuller description on a blog entry, linkedin, facebook etc..

eg- experienced #sales person after a new job in #Brighton (or whatever town name..)
