Minimum wage?

Is it lawful for an employer to pay minimum wage and then expect the employee to work over their contracted hours. i.e. get paid for 4 hours/day and expected to work an extra 30-45 mins extra?
Can the employee do anything apart from just leaving the job?

You could speak to your boss to start with, eitther to go when your hours are up or be paid for the extra time. Try that first.
What job do you do.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

Part time delivery. Employer states it can be done in 4 hours but is taking 30-45 mins longer each day!

I don't have a written contract but the hours were agreed before i started of 4hrs/day 4 days a week. I get £99.04/week which is 16 times £6.19 (minimum wage). Employer is saying I have to work extra until I get used to the delivery round. Personally I don't think I will ever complete in 4 hours as I am racing around like a **** as it is and the vehicle is a clapped out, very old estate car.
Only been in the job a few weeks. What do I do next if employer decides to sack me if I refuse to do the un-paid work?
I came off esa for this because I thought it was the right thing to do:(.0
