I know I know its a hobby and anything you win is a bonus blah blah blah...BUT....
How long did you wait for your first win and what was it?
:D
Its more curiosity really, I love comping and will continue for sure as its a definite new hobby but I am getting rather obsessed checking my emails and phone every day hahahah
I do at least 20-30 pages on the main competition board every other day but if I have time I do it every day
Also.... I only do the main competitions never ventured into the daily thread, do you do both or just the one?
cheers me dears and very best of luck to you all xxxx

It took me 3 weeks to win my first comp which was for a dvd and t-shirt.
I've not won anything else since but I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
I worked my way through the main board when I started about 6 weeks ago.
Now I catch up with the comps on the main board every day and then if I have time/I'm bored then I go over to the dailies.
I do the magazine dailies every day too
Good luck comping0 -
I only started comping a few weeks back and it was only a matter of days before I got my first win (wins are in my sig).
I comp everyday and only enter for what I actually want. But that can be 60 plus comps a day.
I do the dailies and last week won the Tan Duo from chat magazine and again will only play the ones I want so I still end up with entries spare.
I look at it as entering as fun. If I win then :j if I don't then oh well. I sit entering comps when i'm watching TV at night or now when I'm sat having a cuppa, I used to just browse the web anyway during those times so now I comp0 -

In the Regulars board, go to the Daily Competition post index, and they're listed in there. (Post 2 and 3 I think)

Yeah the dailies board is huuuuge!
So I just wrote down on a piece of paper each magazine I enter comps on and just work my way though the list each evening.
They are
- Chat
- Now
- Look
- Pick me up
- Whats on tv
- Woman
- Womans own
- Womans weekly
You get 6 entries on some mags and 25/26 on others.0 -
I'd definitely put the effort into the mag dailies, lots of people win from them. I won a 42" TV and Sky last week :-)
It took about a month to get my first big win, and that was a £500 cheque, but I think I was just lucky.
Though I must say, it seems that the number of people comping now as opposed to a year ago has shot up hugely, so there's more of us shooting for the same yummy big prizes.
Keep going! And definitely go for the dailies.2014: Desolation of Smaug DVD, Magix photo programme, RUSH DVD, £100 Lands End voucher, Hugo Boss La Vie perfume, £1000 Tesco vouchers, Winnie the Pooh Bundle, 7 night holiday to Spain0 -
Still waiting. It's... been a long time.
And yes, I do enter via FB etc, apparently I'm just very unlucky.0 -
A while back now, but I think it took two or 3 months and it was a weekend break at the seaside.
I've not done that well at comping - my biggest prize was a laptop about 5 years ago, never reached those dizzy heights again, but enough nice little prizes to keep me going.
And I'm still waiting for my first win of 2013 but I don't have time to do comping everyday, and I never go into the dailies, again not got the time or the inclination. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
took me 2 weeks to win something and it was a book on bullying in school0

Purple_x you'd be better if you saved the links in your favourites. I bookmark the ones I want in folders. I have one for each mag.
Good luck to you0
