My experience with Nationwide Loans 4U is not great.
I paid the fee, it was about £50, then I received an application through the post which had the terms and conditions. You do this after paying, so you lose your money anyway, but the terms and conditions are written so that by agreeing there's no way of getting your money back. They say if they cant provide a lender they will refund you but they won't. I received an email through them saying Express finance loans will give me a loan, but when I got in touch with them they said they couldn't help me because I couldn't provide a guarantor (funny because Nationwide Loans 4U says guarantors are not needed) but then they gave me the number of another lender-Pounds to Pocket, which seemed odd. Why the lender doing that and not the brooker agency I paid to do so? When I phoned Pounds to Pocket, they offered me £300 but I was looking for £3000. Now in the terms and conditions it clearly states that whatever money is offered, they don't care, they cant guarantee that the money offered is going the be the amount you were looking for. But £300 when you need £3000? Anyways. I phoned Nationwide Loans 4u to requesting another lender, they said no problem, and then they sent and email referring me to Express finance loans. Again. phoned them, they didn't understand why, because nothing has changed, they weren't to help me. Phoned Nationwide Loans 4u AGAIN, and they sent a letter this time referring me to Express finance loans. Ridiculous, isn't it? I phoned them to complain and ask for my fee back, they pretty much told me to sod off and even asked me when I described my situation why I sounded so sarcastic. Not much I can do about the whole things, so I thought I'd share my experience. My advice: don't deal with Nationwide Loans 4U.
Sorry if it was a little long, but there you have it. I was lucky because I managed to get a loan from a friend, but if I couldn't I'd be ripping my hair out right now. Hope this helped.0 -
Why pay £50 for something you could google yourself for free?I used to think that good grammar is important, but now I know that good wine is importanter.0

I applied to nationwide 4 u for a loan and they accepted me.
I'm not sure whether to go ahead with it as they want me to pay just over 60.00 for a fee first.
They have told me once i have paid it they will send me the documents and all i have to do is sign and the money will be in my account within 1-3 days.
Did you go ahead with your loan, if so was it succesfull ?
I know they are only asking for 60.00 but that is a lot of money for me to lose.
Seriously, what is wrong with reading this very thread and heeding the warning?
I'll put this as simply as I can..... YOU WILL LOSE YOUR MONEY.0 -

I also need to ask does the fact £60 is being asked for not ring any bells with you ?0 -
Last month I was in a tight spot, before I realised I could release assets from other places to pay of a payday lender. I fully regret in retrospect that I did a payday loan, and have learn't my lesson and will NEVER EVER as long as I live covert something I can't afford straight away.
However, I thought at the time that I could get a consolidation loan to sort this out, and phoned this sham of a company Nationwideloans4U. Guys, even if you are at rock bottom, the last company you want to phone are these sh!t5t3r5.
I was offered a loan, which I was given time to mull over. I was told that there would be a 54.99 set up fee for the loan as they were only brokers. I mistakenly gave them my debit card details for the set up fee to be taken out should I go ahead with the loan. I feel so stupid now. I didn't go ahead with the loan and told them I had changed my mind. However, they still took £54.99 at the end of the month. I never gave them permission to do this. Anyway, I am writing a preliminary letter stating my issues with them, and asking them for the money back. I have given them 14 days within which to respond, of I'll write a Letter before Action, to give them a further 14 days. If |I get no response, I'm going to the small claims court, and retrieve the money with interest. I'll post to let you know what happens.0 -

You are doing the right thing by writing though, one of the few to take those brave steps.0 -

Yes, you did.
You should have read their terms and conditions which state they charge a fee if they find you a loan.
They did and you chose not to take it.
I doubt you will have any joy in the County Court - probably best to count the cost as a lesson learned never to give out your details again.0 -

In future do the proper research, dont pay anyone to find you a loan but do it yourself for free.0 -
If you are considering going through this company for a loan I need to make you aware of the following points
1. when they tell you they have secured you a loan- its untrue and they keep you waiting for days and tell you that you will receive a SPAM email confirming that you have been accepted and then charge you £69.99. After calling them a number of times you eventually get the details of a company and telephone number to call who will then give you another company name and telephone number but be warned you are NOT getting your loan because you have not fitted into their criteria. After all the calls I have made and explained my situation I was in tears. I know that in 5 months I will have cleared my debts and was prepared to take a loan out to clear this and minimise my current and clear my very high interest rated debt and still within 3 years the loan company would have made a lot of money (interest) out of me which I knew I would entail. These companies prey on the vulnerable, the people whose credit history is not the best and do not listen or should I say promise you nothing.
Please please be warned about this company and that you are not going to experience the upset that I have felt and still feeling. Be honest I am not surprised that anyone has not committed suicide over the treatment this company has given.0
