Anyone know, doesn't say specifically, there is another value butter which states unsalted so i assume first is salted, the other butter,

So if I was to make shortbread for millionaires shortbread would I use salted or unsalted.
And generally you would use salted on toast?

I'm making shortbread tomorrow eve and i'm using salted butter. The recipe calls for a pinch of salt and i shall leave this out instead:cool:0

As for which to go for, it would be preference mostly - some people find salted butter makes for a better addition even to sweet recipes, where the salt contrasts with the sweet, a bit like salted caramel. Generally I use/buy unsalted butter and add salt to the recipe if I want to.0 -
Personally, I'd use salted for 'general eating' i.e. on toast etc, and unslated for any baking.
I ran out of unsalted at Christmas, and made butter cream icing with salted instead. Boak.0
