Hi, can anyone offer advice?
3 years ago T-mobile slapped a £100 contract cancellation charge on my account( was a bit late paying bill) anyway it is a default and unsettled on my credit history. Do you think it is worth paying this off? will that improve my credit rating, if it is settled or just leave it now as Ive only got a couple of years til it clears anyway?
thanks guys x

Hi Paul
I'd pay it off, so it's marked as settled... a default looks bad, but an unsettled one looks worse. Worth putting a note on your credit file to explain it. If you can be bothered, also worth asking T mobile to send you a true signed copy of the default (if you didn't recieve it) and for a signed copy of the original credit agreement. If they don't have them, you can argue for it to be removed.0 -
Already tried to check on copy of default etc but they sent a copy out. I think I will pay it off and put a notice of correction! grrrr,
thanks for advice x0
