Hi, have today been visited by an independent debt advisor. Contacted National Debt Helpline yesterday and they sent a chap round this morning. Has anyone heard of or had dealings with Debt Free Me financial solutions of Blackburn? It all sounds wonderful but I am getting scared in case it's a con! Would appreciate any feedback. Thanks.

Erm, I'm not sure that national debtline (i.e. the free charity) would send round an advisor from a 'financial solution' company - are they charging a fee? This sounds a bit iffy to me ..... what does everyone else think?

Have you thought about payplan? I think they are a proper charity and many people on this site use them.

They aren't a 'con' as such. But they will charge you fees for something you can get for free and are a million times more dependable!

Go to these guys and don't look back. :)

    Hi,
Your best bet is to get in touch with the companys that you owe money too yourself.:money:
If you explain your situation to them they will except a cheaper payment plan and freeze you interest, they are obliged to take your offer of any reasonable amount that you can pay to them.
Hope this helps, as past experience helps.
Do not use compaines and it will invovle a charge at a later date.
You can also contact Citizens advice who will go through the process with you.
