Half Price Sirloin Steak

Options
Just noticed that Morrisons have Sirloin steak half price at the moment at £8.50 per kg. Plus they are one of the few supermarkets not to be affected by the horse meat scandal.

I got some Tuesday, two big lovely pieces for £4 odd, was surprised at the price didn't know it was on offer thought they mispriced it!

It's a good deal, but I don't think at this stage there's any suggestion that cuts of raw meat from any supermarkets are iffy: We already have procedures in place that track meat from farm gate to plate, and provided those are followed we should be eating whatever it's labelled as.

It's the processed stuff we need to be concerned about, and I suspect more news of dodgy practices will emerge in the next few days: I doubt Morrison's will turn out to be any better than the rest, unfortunately.
  • Thanks op, steaks from morrisons are usually quite nice so I'll pop in and pick some up. OH loves steak but I hate paying fortunes for it so he'll be pleased!
Common sense?...There's nothing common about sense!
