  • Hey guys,

I'm still in the middle of taking my LF exam. I passed part 1 and am working on part 2. How many sites do you need to rate for part 2? How long should part 2 take?

How long is part 3 and what does it entail? I'm nervous about this exam and really want to do well!

I think it was seven "tasks" in each of part 2 and 3 when I did the exam last year. Can't really say much more because of the confidentiality agreement.

Take your time and keep referring back to the guidence.

Finally got my payment arrangements sorted and got the payment back that had bounced in Jan. Got the commited email quite early on last friday so can I assume it will be paid in the next day or so?

    Hello all

I'm relatively new to the whole idea of Lionbridge and Leapforce and was just looking for some info if at all possible please.

I applied to Lionbridge yesterday and got my email of rejection today (pretty bummed out about this) so thought I'd try Leapforce.
Is it any easier to be accepted into the latter? I just wanna know if I should prepare myself for rejection again.

Also, with Leapforce I am currently awaiting qualification of a task (have not had any exams yet). Does anyone know roughly how long this stage of 'awaiting qualification' takes?

    Thanks in advance

"No tasks available" doesn't mean you have been cut off, there's a limited amount of tasks presently.

Hi boo_star, you've got a lot of days without task? I'm three days, this is distressing.

It ultimately depends on what you're eligible to rate.

There are tests which you may or may not have passed.

Obviously I can't go into specifics but some raters get more work than others, due to tests, if that makes sense.

Theres a limited amount of work available right now, it isn't you.

Newb here too, waiting for my exam to arrive Monday. Heard a lot of new hires on here saying their first month was slow with a lot of NRT. Did it turn out that this was just the way it is for new hires, that theyre limited on tasks till they prove their efficiency? or is there really not much work with this company?
  • There's just been an update actually. New raters are capped at 1 hour a day, but can get up to 4 hours a day by doing training sims (the more you get right, the higher your newbie level goes). Only took me a day to get all the sims done and boost my hours. Once you get your first formal review, you may find your hours shortened or lengthened depending on how you're doing.

In terms of NRT and being able to fill those 4 hours, it depends on the day and your availability. It's been a bit slow this week, but I've still got between 2-4 hours every day.
  • ^ good post. are there any add-ons that will alert you when new tasks are posted, perhaps through email? or do you have to just keep checking every hour or so?

There's a couple, yes. One is free, and one is paid for (but has lots of extra features, like auto invoicing and auto acquiring of tasks). Both are very useful. If you get hired I'm sure someone will tell you about them specifically.
  • didn't know Rateraide did this too, thanks!
  • which is the extension to get emailed when task are available?
