Can I just ask why you prefer LF? What are the main differences? Seems like this route back into LB could be an easy one, but interested as to whether people feel there is anything better out there?
I seem to do much better at the rating with LF than I ever did with LB for some reason lol. There seems to be a constant supply of work too, It was very hit ans miss with LB. I like the social chat thing on LF too. So for now this is the better option for me. Good to know we can re apply with LB though if needed0 -
Wow, just had an email from Lionbridge, offering me the chance to re apply as it has been over 6 months since I worked for them, and they have a high volume of work available in the UK. I know quite a few people on here are ex LB so thought I would share. Im quite happy with LF for now though
Me too!
Still not heard anything from LF that they're letting me go, even though it's obvious as NRT for more than 3 weeks now. Also in the middle of qualifying for ABH so options are looking better again0 -
Just tagging on to say when I first started working with LF I judged them unfavourably with LB because I felt they didn't have the same sense of community that LB has with its webinars, and with LB contacts based in Ireland that understood the UK way of thinking and didn't have a big time difference to respond to emails. LF had only just started recruiting UK users and everything seems so US-centric. The way you record working times is also different and US-centric; and the bonuses and incentives are only available to US raters.
I'm glad that I started doing this kind of work with LB because I think you're a bit more on your own with LF: however, that's from the point of view of someone who doesn't use the Chat facility that LF provides which may provide support to newbies.
However - the big plus is that LF pay much more speedily than LB so (unless they're going to sack me - I'm still NRT) on balance I'd stick with LF if LB invited me to reapply.0 -
I haven't heard anything from LB. I finished with them last November and always did okay in their reviews.
I am happy with LF for now anyway but it would be nice to be wanted0 -
Hi. I finished with LB earlier this year and am thinking of applying to LF for work. However the only work available seems to be as Personal Search Evaluator and requires me to use Google + and have 11 people in my G+ circle which I don't have as I barely use Google at all. I'm assuming from all this that its really not worth my bothering to apply but wondered if anyone on here was doing this work and could tell me more..."All I ask is the chance to prove that money can't make me happy"

Bumma - I haven't got anyone in my Google circle and I wasn't pulled up by them about it.
It's the same work as LB, so why not just apply and see how you get on?0 -

Sure you've confidentiality agreements etc, but can you indicate whether they are similar rates of pay? And are the required hours etc the same? I seem to think when I looked into LF before they had minimum daily requirements, whereas with LB it was weekly so more flexible for me to do more hours at weekends and miss weekdays if other work commitments limited my time?Proud to be dealing with my debtsDebt at Light Bulb Moment (January 2011): £21,953Debt at current level (Nov 2013): £4,567.50Debt free wanabee date: Dec 2014 :j0 -
Rates of pay are similar - and LF is very flexible as it's up to you how you meet their minumum of 200 tasks in each 30 day period:

I believe that Appen Butler Hill requires 4 hours per day - weekdays only.0 -

There are no minimum daily requirements with LF, or weekly for that matter. There is a requirement to do 200 tasks in a 30 day period but that isn't that difficult. ABH have a minimum amount of hours per day which is why I didn't apply, maybe you're thinking of them?
Pretty sure that of the three the working hours are most flexible with LF as there is no min or max.0 -
Yes, ABH commitment is for 4 hours every day between Monday and Friday for one type of work - but that isn't the only type of work they offer.
The work is guaranteed though, so some see that as a bonus.0
