Is DMP a big mistake?

Hi thanks for all your support and advice.
In answer to your questions ...
The house is my partner's thank goodness. It's in his sole name and so is the mortgage.
Nationwide appear to have accepted the DMP, which will kick in from march, but have also slapped on an official default notice. So I'm feeling pretty sick about that. I made a reduced payment this month, so I'm £120 in arrears. It's the first missed or late payment I've ever made in my life, and in over 20 years with nationwide. My husband banks with them, so I'm desperate they won't now go after him. We've always kept our finances separate.0 -
It sounds to me like things would have reached a head sooner or later anyway. What's done is done now anyway. You can either try and get back to paying the minimum payments yourself anyway (knowing that you've now got defaults) or carry on with a dmp.
From what you've said Ican't see any reason why your husband will be chased for your debts if they are in your sole name.
Best of Luck

Going on a DMP was the best thing I did.
Admittedly its been 7 years of frugal living and my CR is shot, but at least I will be DF and not wanting credit !.
If you think its a viable option go for it !.0
