DFS shout maxi sofa patchwork

My OH is keen on getting one of these mutli colour patchwork sofas they keep showing on the dfs ad. Have sat in in the store and they seem quite good but wanted to check if anyone has one (or similar models) and any comments on build quality etc...dfs reckon they can deliver in about 2 weeks when i rang them.haven't bought from dfs before so not sure whether to take this with a pinch of salt....also wondering if there is a downside to taking the 4 years credit?

Comments

  • Hi I cant post a link as im new on here But google dfs contract then you will see it all.
  • i've seen some comments on a disclaimer re; delivery time do you mean they will take 12 weeks instead of 2?

Hi, I got the "Chaise longue" and footstool version of this and can say it's absolutely beautiful. Everyone comments on how lovely it is and it's even better in the flesh because the patches are different textures as well as colours and patterns.

DFS delivered in 4 weeks. We had a problem with a different piece of furniture that we bought the same day (paid cash for it all in DFS shop) but DFS sent round a pair of nice men with toolkits and the problem was quickly sorted to our satisfaction.

    Hope that helps.

I hear they have a sale on. Better buy now!

Intrest free credit is fine, but you can choose your deposit and how long you want to repay. If you don't have all the cash upfront I'd choose the shortest term you can afford - you don't want to still be paying for it in 3 years time when it looks a bit worn or damaged from general use, and having a loan outstanding may hinder you getting credit if you want a loan/card in a couple of years time.

i have had mine for a while now and its fine , the only issue Ive had is there should have been screws to keep the legs from turning that weren't there but it only took us a few mins to sort ourselves.

well as this has been resurrected this thread I will Tell anyone thinking of buying this sofa DON'T .
After having it for about 18 months its the most uncomfortable sofa ive ever had , the springs are starting to go and the wood on the front edge seems to sit higher and its uncomfortable to lie on.
