Can somebody explain why tesco offers don't seem to add up in my basket total.

Doing an online shop with Tesco, and have bought a few offer like buy 1 get 1 free or half price etc.
So I see Wilkinson Sword Xtreme 3 (half price) - original price £3.75, so I add it and the total shows it's added the full £3.75 instead of half price.
The offer is still valid till 11/33/2013.
It clearly says Half Price Was £3.75 Now £1.87.
So I'm thinking it may reduce the total when I am at the checkout page but no, still has added the full price.
Seems to have done this for other items also, including a buy 1 get 1 free.
What am I missing, offers are all valid.

If they are trying to process a date of "11/33/2013" then no wonder the computer is getting confused.
If all offers are doing this then it is probably just that they do not show until the very end. (That is certainly what happens on the auto-tills in physical shops.)
Don't forget that online shops only allow offers (sic) that apply at the time of check-out. Many people will just preload a basket a day or two before they eventually purchase it.0 -
I've noticed this can happen with Tesco, everything always comes right on delivery day though. If your £3.75 price in basket is red with a wonky red triangle next to it then the computer knows it's on offer- hover over and the offer should be displayed. Even though the full price is displayed you will be charged the offer price.
Sometimes they've added the offers, but are not yet properly live so it will still show full price in basket.
Also sometimes the offers are listed as "from tomorrow" if you are shopping on changeover day and in the basket won't always play correctly.0 -
You don't pay when you checkout, you pay when your shopping is picked and the offers that are current come off at that point.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0
