I wouldn't accept, simply because the need to take this kind of breach seriously, you were lucky that it didn't cause you any problems, but if they don't tighten up on their procedures someone could have serious problems.0

Presumably the more compensation, the more likely the O2 operative will lose his/her job. You may want to think about whether you want that to happen.0

If you applied this principle, you would never complain if you had a problem, or there was a mistake with an order etc.barbarawright wrote: »Presumably the more compensation, the more likely the O2 operative will lose his/her job. You may want to think about whether you want that to happen.
You don't know that, it could be a problem with their procedures rather than the individual member of staff.0 -
according to the government there a re plenty of jobs out there.
The last thing we need to consider is whether someone loses their job over the issue.
With a situation like the above, any 'jobs' associated with the issue carry varying degrees of responsibility.
If any one individual is held accountable, they have the right [either via their company's grievance procedure, or via tribunal] to challenge their employer's viewpoint.
[ a very sound reason for joining a Union?]
If I made a similar mistake with information, I'd be prosecuted under the Official Secrets Act.
Would anyone stand up and say 'it's not fair' then? No, I don't think all other drivers are idiots......but some are determined to change my mind.......0
