Club bank account

Any recommendations for a bank or building society etc that is suitable for a club account. We are a small group with very little incomings or outgoings so can't afford big monthly charges to maintain the account. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks

I am not sure - but does credit unions cater for this kind of thing.

Know what you mean - we opened a bank account for a small group few years ago - took two of us and couple hours of our time to get it open. Never seen so many forms!

Thanks Bobs - I've tried Credit Unions - no joy. The problem is that some banks charge a monthly maintenance fee as well as charging every time money goes in or out - we just couldn't afford that. I'm just trying to find the least expensive option.

The Northern (Danske) offer a charity/club account. You need to give them a copy of you charity status or constitution.

I second Danske for this kind of thing. Used to be involved with a charity group that had their account there and I don't recall any silly charges or fees.

this account we have - it is great - just apart from the length of time it takes for initial set up.

  • Threaten to leave and they might come to a better arrangement, worked when our group said we where leaving the bank of Ireland and they waived the fees.
