Debt collection agency-again?

If nothing has been paid towards the debt and the debt has not been acknowledged in writting in the last six years then the debt is statute barred. So, regardless of what they say, they cannot take you to court over it. You should send them the statute barred letter and that should be the end of the matter.
You could also mention the dealings with your husband, that this was fraud, that he accepted the debt, that he is now bankrupt, but all of that detail is just liekly to lead to more letters.
The reason you are now being chased is because the debt has been sold on by the original creditor to the kinds of compnaies that chase old, statute barred debt. The pay pennies in the pound for the debt and have a reputation for being less than forthcoming with the information that whilst the debt may well be outstanding (although in your case not by you) they cannot take you to court, so they are just basically asking.
My advice would be to send the statute barred letter. It ends the issue without delving into the complicated matters with your ex.If I cut you out of my life I can guarantee you handed me the scissors0
