Adsense approached daughter £££ query

My dd2 does youtube videos and has nearly 1000!followers . Adsense approached her and she has £17 o far but we do nt know how To transfer the money to her account. Anyone know how to do his please. Tia xx

Was under the impression you needed at least 50 or 100 pounds in your adsense account before you could transfer it?

I thought she would have to have applied to Adsense to be included in their programme, so I'd suggest they're the people to ask ...

I've not heard of AdSense approaching youtube publishers with just 1000 followers (maybe 10,000 or 100,000), so are you sure that it really was Google that approached her?

A common myth is that you need many followers for adsense/youtube to approach you - simply not true. They really don't care how many followers you have be it one or a million. Subscribers are of no value to adsense - if anything they're a liability to your adsense account.

What matters is your videos, are they any good and are people watching?

To answer the OP's question - you get paid the month after you cross the £60 threshold.

I have a youtube account with only a few followers and few vids. Not alot of views and was also offered to be a 'partner' or whatever it is called.

However unless she had an adsense account set up before she would need to go through the application process regardless of who asked who.
The threshold for withdrawal is I think 60GBP (or whatever the equivalent of 100USD is).
Also you would need to go to the settings and adjust your payment options, give them your account info.

I haven't heard of adsense approaching people but I would like to hear how this works out.

She has had a few 1000 views on some of her videos. Nt sure if that helps.

I also have never heard of adsense approaching people. When you log into your adsense account you can choose how you want to be paid. They are pretty good with paying by cheque. it could even be the default setting so once she reaches the threshold they may just pay her. I would check that the contact that was made was legitimate

A friend of mine had just several hundred hits on videos (Xbox 360 video game guides using a capture card) when he was approached.

They do approach you, via Youtube and it isn't a scam. Check the URL of any e-mails sent of course but they do definitely approach people!
