Lamb shoulder is very good, with honey and rosemary yummy. We also like belly pork, I do mine with apple in the oven with water, then drain off to crisp up the porkVisit beautiful Mid Wales:j0

I bought from a butcher this week first time ever I normally buy cheap supermarket frozen sausage's so I asked for four pork sausages and they cost me £1.74 it seemed quite expensive to me but I am yet to taste them!
Well I had 2 of the sausages this morning and they were gorgeous for all these years I have been eating look-a-like sausages but from now on it's the butchers for me! I also bought 2 slices of bacon and boy did they taste good so admittedly the cost was a little more but the quality was superb.Low Carb High Fat is the way forward I lost 80 lbs

Brilliant! Frozen sausages are not that great - Asda used to do some in the Extra Special range but I haven't seen those in a long time.

Beef cheek and chicken thighs are massively under-rated. We only use chick thighs now, chicken breasts are off the menu!0

TBH there is no comparison with meat from the butchers/locally reared direct from the breeder and the supermarket...
If you have never been to a butchers before, go in and be honest, tell them you have never used one before, and say you are on a strict budget, and you want to know what is good value 'this week'
one of the best things about a butcher you only buy what you want... not what is offered to you in a packet in a supermarket.
so if you only want 1 or 2 sausages, then thats what you can buy...Work to live= not live to work0 -
my kids have got to the point that if I say where having sausage the first thing they say is " is it butchers sausage" they really love them and dont like any other now really - shame I have to pay £7 a kilo though but hey ho its only once a fortnight or so.Save saynoto0870.com in your favorites, and stop giving companies more £££ dialling 0870 numbers when you can dial freephones or cheaper alternatives.:j0
