Child Benefit & CSA Payments

Please forgive if I am sounding dense but can someone please tell me:

1. Does child benefit cease to be paid if a young person is only in part-time education (2 days per week).

2. If child benefit ceases, do CSA payments cease as well?

Any advice gratefully received.

a course of 12 hours a week can be classed as full time.
but if child benefit ceases to be paid, then child support also stops ( unless court ordered)

two days a week in college might not be all of the education... there are plenty of courses where two days of college, and three in a garage/etc or w/e...

you would need details of the particular course... (if you know the course name the child is on, call the college and enquire into the course).

Also: is the "student" paid for the "course"... if the course in relation to employment (and not employment in relation to the course) it doesnt count...
(IE: I was a student doing my NVQ level 2 in hospitality and catering whilst working in mcdonalds... CSA stated i wasnt considered a student... despite studying at "college" for over the 12 hrs a week stated - nrp side though, if was a QC would probally be counted ;) ).

    close, but:

if CB isnt payable because the course started after the child turned 19, CSA payments could still be payable...
