re gateaux at A £5 double choc party gateau & raspberry and white choc version scanned at £2 for me.....in polystyrene box.
  • the £3 gateaux was in a pinky box I think (eaten already!) but the weight was slight different to what was written on the SEL. 940g and 960g I think but I can't remember. It still scanned at £1 though but I was wary as I thought if different from SEL I wouldn't be able to claim for mispricing. Hope that helps
  • Totally random question.... But we recently bought a printer and now need ink, don't really want to pay £12.99 for a black cartridge as well as £19.99 for colour, if theres an alternative, ive seen loads of compatible ones on eb@y etc and wondered if anyone had experience of using compatible inks rather than the "real thing" it's only for DD school projects and moc etc Tia.

Thanks for the prayers, thoughts & wishes gang. Really appreciate it. Just need Dad to pull through. Any other outcome just cannot happen.

Cheers for the lowdown on the handwash. Is it just one type? Anyone got the barcode please?

Oh thanks for the gateau info. Definitely going to get one of those. I'm in the mood to scoff a whole one of those. Least I can be certain there's no horsemeat in it. Ugh. I know horse is eaten elsewhere but all this talk of it in lasagne, burgers, etc is making me wanna hurl.

I'm gonna head out in about 20 mins. Is there a yoghurt glitch/deal on btw? And any news about the prince's spreads? I could get some bread in and have sarnies for a week if there is.

Thanks again Elite, you always come through for me when I've gotta get my bare cupboards stocked.
:D if you don't have anything nice to say, keep schtum.

Hi, I've been buying the compatible inks from cartridgemonkey for years! They're really good and not as ridiculously expensive as the branded ink. I've been using the 'peach' starter kit where you get a couple of refills plus these special 'heads' which allow the printer to acknowledge these 'compatible refill's. It's dead simple and honestly, if I can do it, anyone can. So yes, I do recommend the compatible inks. I can't tell you about ebay for inks though I'm afraid. I'm sure, if the seller has good feedback, you shouldn't have any probs though. Hopefully someone who's bought on ebay can give you more info. Hth :)

Never refilled cartridges before in my life and was amazed how easy it was, 2 for £8 and you can refill the cartridges several times...:T:T:T
