If you are outside Northern Ireland (in other words, are able to do comps vs M), I think everyone should run any list they have Avs someone else through the Avs M list and see if any of the items are on there, cheaper in M's. If so, take it off your Avs S/Avs T shop etc., where MSM.co.uk suggests that S or T are the cheapest, when in fact M has a cheaper price! The M list also contains (as do other lists, such as that vs W) ideas of items that also work on other comps than just vs M. These are/should be correct as of yesterday (21/2) so check the latest for these on MSM to see if they are still valid in A against the non-M competitor. Where the list says, for example, "also vs T" it means the price for T is the same as that at M.
The lists - in partic. the vs W one - can also be used by those in N Ireland. The W list, for example, contains a whole host of examples (in brackets at the end of each product entry) of fillers suitable for comps vs T or S and items at the same price for T/S as W, so can go on either Avs W or Avs T/S as applicable. (In Northern Ireland, can therefore use the T/S option but not the W one.)
NI readers: look at the W list but the parts in brackets that show you the other competitor(s) that may be avail (will need to check MSM.co.uk to see it is still in date) - except that the M option is not avail for NI - this may provide a filler or a number of fillers to make up an 8-item shop Avs T or Avs S.

Hi again, hoping for some techie help here.
My friend bought a new sat nav from eBay, it's a mediatek mt3351.
When I try to check the GPS info it gives the message "open serial ports error". I've tried googling it and resetting the unit and all sorts, I'm no technophobe so not exactly useless but certainly struggling with it. I don't know if it needs a firmware update (or where I would get one if it did) or if it is something else. I tried going to mediatek website and searching mt3351 and there is no results??
Anyone help with this please?I do try to keep up but sometimes life gets in the way.
I'm just a penny short of a pound. Peace and Love.
I've joined the 5:2 club cos mrT made me eat 1p chocolate.0
