Thanks kezbratt I read about that earlier on today , I seem to be able to find many titles very cheap:cool: but the one I did a test search on is coming up at roughly £15 educational/reference books are not cheap  unless someone can prove me wrong :rotfl:

No I think you are right. You can find "cough" popular titles cheap "free" online in various places, but educational ones not so much.

OH has returned from the loft with granny's diaries....I still write a diary ever day and have done since I was 11:o

the cousin was called Morna.....and the last letter granny sent her was in 1971:( .....she never got one single reply and she gave up. But in her diaries for years after she mentioned Morna in her prayers. I might go and look tomorrow.....there are ways now to find people that didnt exist before

I am really surprised at how much this has touched me :o.....I haven't alot of family history to go on. my dad was adopted through non legitimate channels as a baby ( war baby) .......I'd like to find out any part if where I come from, if I can

you can actually scan pdf's of pages and upload via calibre if you have the actual book. But I think more an more libraries both county and uni are offering ebook loans as well...so getting better all the time.
