  • About the DTD meat, I have seen it in my local but for some reason chickened out, because what do you say when the £10.99 price is on the packaging, but the £6.00 is on the SEL? Do you just say you only looked at the SEL and not the packaging price? I couldn't work it out in my head what to say to them.

Just tell them you thought it would come off on the till, but you've just checked your receipt & it doesnt appear to have done so! Then makesure you get your dtd as chances are they'll try to 'innocently' offer you just the difference. If that happens I normally just point at there policy & say shouldnt it be dtd. (it pays to find out where they display there policy, its normally a big blue poster with white writing on) it looks like you've just noticed it while theyve been checking the SEL out. ;)

that's a shame about your ds shoes. my 2 boys went to the leeds match too x

Did they have a good night? My 2 were frozen when they came home, even tho I'd layered them up with clothes & sent blankets, but they loved every minute! We can't afford to take them that often so last nights cheap ticket deal was greatly received! Shame OH thought it would be ok to park on double yellows (eejit)!! lol

he never made a secret of it, as it should be. it's not a condition to be ashamed of, but so sadly there is alot of ignorance about it in general. It's close to my heart as my son (11) is autistic and I could stick my size 6 in his mouth most days :o

it's very difficult for sufferers to realise that they might be offending or annoying anyone. Explaining that on a daily basis to some people is hard :( ......anyway rant over :o

    Well said:T

There are all sorts of "holier than thou" weirdos about who would love to report him.

I like his sense of humour and the key point is that he is a decent sort who helps out all and sundry and therfore surely is valuable to the thread.

Nobody should be ashamed if they suffer from Aspergers/autism. In the past I worked all be it for a short time in a place for people who had autism. I learnt alot there, I didn't really know much about the condition before. However, though sufferers would say things, they didn't realise what they were saying could cause offence. They were very straight talking and showed no tact!!
