I never buy bananas in packets ... Loose ones are about 10p each, great as a filler ;) but I bought 5 'nana's today, thinking it would be 50ish pence and I'd get 25p back from scan and shop. no such luck, my bananas cost 49p :p

I occasionally buy bags of cooking apples - but then I spend a few minutes feeling how heavy they are, then go to the scales and weigh the three heaviest packs and buy the one that weighs the most. Managed about 300g above the second heaviest one once :D:D

The chicken was it's heart, lungs, kidneys....

We have seen some things in various restaurants. In Hong Kong I dread to think what we were eating, but OH decided agains eating some rather round shaped items in one of the buffets :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

  • My OH has just come into the kitchen - he was rummaging around in the fridge then turned round to me and said "my b@77s have been itching today" so of course I looked down at his pants.... And he had stuck a long piece of chorizo sausage in his zip :rotfl::rotfl: I burst out laughing :rotfl: Very childish but was very funny

As long as it has entered the food chain legally then that's fine but with no regulation there is no way of knowing what diseases etc it had when it was killed/died. Plus you should have a choice and be able to trust that what you are eating is what it is labelled.

    couldn't agree more:T

Trust me I've seen lots of different things cooked or up for sale to eat  when I lived in Hong Kong but at least they are honest (usually) with what it is they are eating.
