JSA and a weeks work

Hi,
I have been offered a full weeks work 40 hours at 7.50p/h, all PAYE.
I am going to carry out this work and was wondering how this affects my claim. I will loose a week (I don't care as its work and i will be better off doing it)
I want to know will i have to sign off and do a rapid reclaim or will i be be able to request a weeks break.

just want tobe forearmed before i go to my job center, as the advisers don't seem very helpful.

Fairly sure that you would have to sign off and make a rapid reclaim as you would be working over 16 hours in a week. Don't know if system has been changed or not recently so perhaps someone can clarify for definite

Will you loose any other benefits that you may be claiming such as housing benefits/free school meals.etc Just for one week, to then reapply? You will only be earning £240 after tax

You will sign off, then have to sign back on, hence having to wait weeks for them to make a descision once again. I am employed myself, and do not condone any benefits culture, but even I am asking myself..is this worth it??

If it were me, I would put my week of time into looking for a permanant job

I don't claim any other benefits (not entitled), and if were a rapid reclaim it would be within a few days i think.....
Its a bar managers job im going to be looking after just thought it would be good experience, and will be looking for work round that.
and 240 is better than 71......

Depending on your benefit week you will probably lose £141 two weeks rather than one week. My benefit week is Thursday to Wednesday. So if I took a Monday to Friday job for 1 week 8 hours a day I'd have to sign off for two weeks.
